Motivational Interviewing Core Components Training

Virtual Training for Health and Mental Health Care Providers

The Motivational Interviewing (MI) Core Components training is intended for beginner and intermediate learners and covers the fundamentals of MI, such as the Spirit of MI, O.A.R.S., the 4 Processes and how they are applied. The hour-long training consists of 30 minutes of didactic content, and 30 minutes of practice. The goal of the training is to establish or continue to build upon a foundation of MI skills, that can be helpful when engaging with patients around hard to navigate behavioral health topics, such as unhealthy substance use.
